When Should You Wash The Floor With Warm Or Cold Water? The Answer May Surprise You

The answer to this question, contrary to appearances, is not so obvious.

Cleaning is a bit like cooking - everyone has their own ways and different methods. Often we don't even think about their validity, assuming that if they work, everything is fine.

This approach does not always pay off. One example is washing the floor. Do you

know whether it is better to use warm or cold water for this?

The answer to this question, contrary to appearances, is not so obvious. It may turn out that you have been washing the floor incorrectly all your life. In this article, we will explain once and for all what temperature the water should be for cleaning the floor and what consequences result from failure to comply with these rules.

Washing the floor is not a matter of state importance, let alone life and death. You don't have to do it perfectly, but it's worth using our resources as much as possible. By following a simple rule, we will clean up easier and faster with less effort and avoid problems.

You probably know that warmer water makes it easier to remove stubborn dirt. It is worth using it if you are dealing with a heavily stained and glued floor. Then it might not be able to cope with the cold or it would take much longer and require more effort.

This does not mean, however, that you should always use warm water. Avoid it on hot days because it evaporates very quickly and leaves unsightly streaks on the floor. Hot water is not suitable for cleaning delicate surfaces such as panels or parquet. In the long run, it may cause them to deform and bulge or change colour.

It is also important not to pour water on the floor when washing it. The mop or cloth should be moderately damp at most.

You can easily use cold water if you just want to freshen the floor and remove dust and minor dirt. Sometimes there is no need to even add detergent. This will be a much cheaper and more ecological solution. It is worth using store chemicals carefully, because they are not always necessary.
