Actor Eso Dike has opened up about the financial challenges that marked the early phase of his acting career.
Speaking in an interview with
Chude Jideonwo, Dike disclosed that it took him more than seven years to earn
his first N1 million as an actor.
“It took me more than seven years to make my first one million naira bulk as an
actor,” he said, recalling the difficult period that shaped his professional journey.“Like before, I got one million
naira, I mean one million naira, my brother, it wasn’t too long again. But
again, I am not a portrayer of suffering. So even if I’m suffering, you won’t
know. But before I got one million naira bulk, it took some time. Probably
eight or seven years.”
Dike, who studied law and was
called to the bar, began his acting career with appearances in TV shows like
Tinsel, and later gained recognition for roles in The Smart Money Woman, Game
On, and Ricordi.
He has since become a prominent
figure in Nollywood, starring in several commercially successful films.
