Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere Egbi has shared his view on single women in Nigeria, saying it is not advisable for them to live alone.
Taking to his X handle,
Pere advised young, single women to live with others for safety and
companionship.
According to him, having a
friend or family member around is important.
“Personal advice to young women living in Nigeria who are single, don’t live alone
by yourself. Have someone stay with you always. A friend, family member/s. It’s never a cool thing to live alone as a woman.”A fan later asked if his
comment was connected to the recent death of Abuja-based female singer,
Ifunanya Nwangene, who reportedly died after suffering a snake bite in her
home. Pere responded in the affirmative, saying, “everything.”
He further clarified that
his advice was not directed at women alone, adding that it is generally “not
good to live alone” regardless of gender.
