These simple steps will change the way your approach your makeup routine.

Exfoliate
We understand that makeup isn’t your cup of tea, but whether you use makeup or not, it’s important to take care of your skin. Exfoliation in an important step in making sure you have fresh, radiant looking skin. It helps get rid of dead skin cells and other buildup that could be clogging your pores
and making your skin look dull. Exfoliate once a week for visibly smoother, glowing skin that’ll make you extra happy that you’re not wearing makeup.

Get your hands on a good BB/CC cream
Looking to even out your complexion but intimidated by the options out there? When it comes to foundations, it can be confusing and tricky at the best of times thanks to the host of different product choices, each with their own benefits. Then there’s the art of putting it on. All in all, a bit of a nightmare for a woman who’s not into makeup. If that’s you, there are two quick and easy alternatives to choose from. BB creams are like tinted moisturisers with a few skin care benefits thrown in. They offer a more sheer coverage, while CC creams are a little heavier as colour correctors, helping conceal redness and dark spots.

Curl your lashes
If you’re the sort to ditch makeup, then we suggest you chuck out the eyeshadow and eyeliner, but keep the mascara. And while you’re at it, definitely curly your lashes. It might seem like a chore you could do without, but trust us it will make an impact. Apply mascara to curled lashes will make your eyes appear wider and brighten up your look.

Go bold on the lips
Never underestimate the power of a bright, bold lip. It can give your face an instant pop of colour without too much effort. There’s a wide range of colours to choose from, with quite a few finishes as well. For your straightforward routine, pick a colour that suits your complexion and provides a bright burst of colour to your lips. An added bonus, a pink or red lipstick can even double up as a blush in a jiffy. Bab a bit of the lipstick on the high points of your cheeks and blend it in with your fingers to create a gentle rosy glow.

Exfoliate your lips
Whether you go in for a lipstick or not, it’s important to keep your lips smooth. Smooth lips look a lot more attractive than dry, chapped ones. So look after your lips by exfoliating and moisturising them regularly. You can apply some petroleum jelly on your lips and let it sit for a few seconds. Then rub a dampened soft toothbrush all over your lips. Use circular motions to slough off dead skin cells. You can also make your own lip scrub with some honey, sugar, and olive oil. Then remember to hydrate your lips with a lip balm.
