"I really did that?"
As a bonafide
style icon, Rihanna has worn it all — from that sunshine
yellow dress at the 2015 Met Gala to her sheer crystal-studded Adam Selman gown
that nearly broke the internet. But sometimes even fashion queens have their
regrets, and Rih is no different.
This week, at the launch of her Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone shoe in London, the singer broke down a few of her favorite fashion moments over the years
while speaking with British Vogue, as well as which ones now give her the "ick."Counting the
backless Stella McCartney gown she wore to the 2014 Met Gala afterparty and the
white crop top and maxi skirt she wore to the main event among her best looks,
Rihanna went on to reveal that any outfits that showed off her nipples are ones
that she wouldn't wear again.
"It's gonna sound
hypocritical because I did so much shit in my life. I had my nipples out, I had
my panties out," said the Fenty Beauty founder. "But now those are
the things that as a mom, an evolved young lady — emphasis on young — things
that I just feel like I would never do, I'm like, 'Oh my god, I really did
that? Nips out?'"
Rather than
rely on her own fashion prowess, when it comes to dressing her two sons — RZA,
23 months, and 7-month-old Riot, Rihanna says she looks to their dad and her
boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, for inspiration.
"When I
dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky," she previously
told Entertainment Tonight.
"I always envision dressing a girl, right? We all do as women, like, 'Oh,
I'm going to dress her in these cute little things,' but then you get sons and
you're like, 'What do I do?' and I was like, 'You know what, I have the biggest
hack — their dad.'"
